Random pics!

Here's just some random pictures that I've taken the last couple of days!

Here's Marley with her new toy.....which she loves! (and yeah she's been pulling up like a champ since the last post)

So sweet! By the way, she's usually not wearing a bow in pictures that I post because I take most of my pictures while we're playing at home, but trust me....we almost never leave the house without a big bow on!! (drives Cade crazy!)

She loves to take a bath, especially since I got her this new tub seat!

She would splash for hours if I let her!

Look at that cute butt! She had turned herself sideways and was doggy paddling as fast as her little arms would let her!

So happy!

She was kind enough to stop playing for a second to pose for mommy!

She was following me into the kitchen where I was going to make her bottle before bedtime.....she was whining the whole way!

Oops....did I do that? She had just flipped over one of her "toy boxes" and she looked at me like she was going to get in trouble. I was glad that I happened to have my camera on her.

She's digging for something good!

7 months old!

Marley turned 7 months old last week and I'm still scratching my head as to where the last month went to......it flew by so fast! Unfortunately she rang in her "birthday" with a little bit of a cold. She got over it pretty quickly, but it really messed her sleeping up because she can't breathe real well when she lays down.....and we're still dealing with it!! Cade and I both have both been getting up with her multiple times a night! She slept much better last night so maybe the end is near (fingers crossed)! On a happier note, now that she has mastered the art of crawling, she has moved on to pulling up! Sometimes she needs a little bit of help, but she can definitely do it by herself! Because of her cold we have stayed home most of the last week, so I've just posted some pictures of our time playing at home.

The splits!! I hope this means she's going to be a gymnast!

This is right before her "birthday" lunch of sweet potatoes.

This is about 1 minute into that lunch.....she gets so messy! She thinks she has to put a hand in her mouth after every bite!

We were playing peek-a-boo with the quilt.....she loves this game!

She had Kelly, Kaci, and I laughing so hard when she was playing with this spoon......yeah it's just a tablespoon! She was putting the whole end in her mouth and sucking on it, but it was the face she was making when she was doing it that was so funny. It was a very intense look of concentration! (she wasn't being still enough to capture it on camera very good)

I thought this was a very good pic of Marley and Cade.

I love this pic, but it's hard to see the reason that I love it so much. She had on this very feminine onesie, pink with puffy sleeves, and under her left eye she had this big scratch that she did to herself in the middle of the night. The contrast of the two things just made for a great pic.....don't get me wrong, I wish she wouldn't have scratched herself, but atleast we got a good pic out of the deal!

She crawls!

Marley is officially mobile! Well, she's actually been mobile for quite a while ....but not mobile by crawling.....by rolling around everywhere. Then about 4 weeks ago she started getting on her hands and knees. About a week after that she would crawl 1 or 2 steps then fall and drag her lower body the rest of the way. But about a week ago she started crawling around the right way and hasn't stopped since!! She's not extremely fast yet, but I give it 3 or 4 more days and then we probably won't ever be able to catch her!

Here she is showing off her new skill! As you can kind of see in the background, the dog is not at all impressed by this accomplishment!

It's time to lower the crib. This is how I found her the other morning. She's not pulling up to standing yet, but getting on her knees is enough for her to flip right over the top......which is a trick she has already mastered when she did a backflip right off her changing table when she was 10 weeks old!! (yeah i know....it was horrible. It was the first, and so far, only disaster but, thankfully she didn't even get a bump or bruise or anything!)

This is her new face she's been making. A picture doesn't show it very good, but she kinda sucks on her bottom lip and make a humming noise while she does it. It's pretty cute!

I got her this the other day and she was a little scared of it at first as you can see. But after a couple of minutes......(see pic below)

......she decided she loved it! When you hit him he giggles and makes noises and she thinks it is so funny! She really likes to lay down and just steadily kick him over and over and over.......

Even though she doesn't look very happy, she loves her pink swing under the shade tree at grandma and pappy's house!

This is one of her absolute favorite activities...... digging pappy's glasses out of his pocket and eating them....and of course he always lets her!! Since he just gets his reading glasses at the parts store for five dollars, it's not that big of a deal when she scatches them all up!

Here's another crawling pic! (By the way..... I have no clue why the pictures all of a sudden got real far away from one another!)

Daddy liked when he saw that she was wearing a razorback t-shirt (it says "daddy's lil razorback"), but he really hated that it had a picture of a cheerleader on it instead of a ballplayer!

I think this is too funny! She's trying to drink her juice all by herself like a big girl!! Though she was successful at finding the nipple, she eventually got mad when nothing was came out!

6 month old happy baby!

Wow! I can't believe Marley is 6 months old! She turned 6 months on August 10th. Time has flown! She has turned into a pretty happy baby! We weren't sure that would happen since our first 2 months were pretty much nothing but 24/7 crying, screaming, and holding her!! At her 6 month check-up she weighed 15.3 pounds and was 27 inches long. That's the 25th percentile in weight and the 75-90th percentile in height (I know...Cade was SO proud!!). She has hit some milestones since I've last posted (which was a long time ago...I'm not good at keeping this up to date). About a week after she turned 5 months old she got her first tooth and a few days later, in came the second one. She looks so sweet with her new teeth! Also, about a week before she turned 6 months, she started sitting up like a champ! She loves sitting up...I think she feels like a big girl. She especially loves to sit and play her piano (picture below), which I'm guessing is just a phase because neither Cade nor I have a musical bone in our bodies! I think the next milestone will be crawling....she is very close!! I've posted a few pictures I've taken recently plus some of the day she was born just so I could reflect back on the last 6 months!!

I took this to show Kelly Phipps how cute she would be as the Cullum Seeds model! haha

She loves her toys! Of course she has way too many, but since she gets bored quickly, we usually play with most of them every day!

Here's the piano pic!! Do we have the next Billy Joel on our hands?

This is another of her favorite toys. We're hoping this means that she's gonna love basketball since she already likes to play with balls!

Here are the pics of the day she was born!

So sweet!!.....(this was before the crying started!!)

There she is......our 6 pound 1 ounce, 18 and a half inch long, coneheaded baby girl!! This pic was taken on February 10th at 6:oopm by our very fabulous in- room photographer.....Kelly Mack!!

These next two pictures crack me up so much!! Kelly took these of Cade while I was pushing. He doesn't seem to be handling it very well!! He looks like he's gonna pass out or throw up!

Here's Dr. Edwards, Sasha, another nurse, and an ASU student who asked me if she could stand at the end of the table and watch! I told her to go right ahead! I'm sure she was glad that she was far enough back that the "orange popsicle throw-up" didn't get on her!!....sorry Sasha!

5 months old!

Cade was home early enough to help try to fight off Marley's nightly fussiness...we do whatever it takes!!
She's in the stage where she won't take her feet out of her mouth...so cute! It's great when she's being fussy because she'll suck on her big toe and it works like a pacifier (since she won't take one!), but it's not so fun when you're trying to change her diaper!

This is one of her 5 month old pictures that I had to take. She was watching me cook supper. (the tin is my backsplash in my kitchen in case you were wondering what in the world that was!)

Carrots!

Our first experience with baby food! It actually went surprisingly well. She seemed to really like it....she ate quite a bit! She definitely liked it better than rice cereal.

4th of July

Marley had fun at grandma and pappy's house on the fourth. She loves sitting on the swing under the shade tree.

She had a little bonding time with Uncle Trevor and Silky....she loves Silky!

K.K. splashed her around in the pool at Jimmy and Shirley's. She was pretty cranky all night, but she sure loves the swimming pool! I never could get a close up shot of her in her "fourth" outfit because I had to carry her around all night, but it said "All-American Cutie"......it was very cute!

Playing with daddy

Marley and Cade were playing outside and I couldn't resist taking a picture even though I didn't really want her up there! I love how she has a fistfull of his hair with her left hand......welcome to my world daddy!

Doing new things!

Marley went swimming for the first time and she loved it!! She splashed and kicked and laughed the whole time!

I caught her trying to steal a chip the other day. She's so nosy.....she wants to check out everything and everybody!

This was the first time she ate with a spoon. It didn't go too good...but the next day she had already gotten much better. I've been putting rice cereal in her bottle a couple of times a day for a few weeks now and I finally decided to make it thicker and try it with a spoon. We're gonna keep trying this for another week or so then I think we're gonna move to carrots!!
